Very nice Jim. It reminds me a lot of Ansel Adams, Monolith the Face of Half Dome. For Adams that was the first photo he ever visualized before shooting and is considered one of his most iconic.
I've heard a lot of people like that Samyang 12mm.
There isn't a one size fits all for everybody. At the end of the day people should make decisions based on what works for them.
One of the things that got me seriously considering Fuji was their announced 16-80 which is supposed to be out...
I ultimately went with Fuji because I preferred their lenses. They’re not in the FF market so they put their best effort into their APSC lenses. Everybody else focuses on their FF lineup and just sees APSC as the gateway drug to FF. Me, I’m not interested in FF.
Just a couple of weeks ago I purchased a new Fuji X-T2 with the kit 18-55. I really like it. Yesterday I received the 55-200 (had to buy it because it was on sale. :-) ) Although I have done minimal shooting, I really like the feel of the gear (smaller and lighter than my Nikon D7100 but still...

That's really nice Kyle. I just returned from a trip to the redwoods around Crescent City. It was my first time. I had high hopes. While I enjoyed being there I was disappointed with my photo results. There's an awful lot of clutter in those forests and those shots are harder to find and make...
Well, the whole trip was populated with plenty of "too much dynamic range". Lol! I think I was fortunate here in that the sun was somewhere else other than in the direction I shot. I worked a little in post but not much. The image really just came to me as I was strolling. Kind of a blind...
I recently returned from a trip to visit the redwoods. This photo was taken just outside the visitor center while driving the Avenue of the Giants. I stopped to collect some info. While wandering about I almost got swallowed by this creature. Fortunately, I lived to complete my trip. :-)
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
