Thanks again Kyle. I'll look into those options. Does the Skunk train have any good photo ops among whatever they offer? I wouldn't have time to ride and explore it going up, but I thought maybe on the way back.

According to Google maps, you have to cut through somebody's backyard to get to Jenner from Santa Rosa. They don't exactly show any highways going that way. :-) But I did find a way to drag the map and show other routes so I can play with that for a while.

Thanks Kyle. According to Google maps, it's 300 miles and 5 hours from Santa Rosa to Crescent City via 101. Any idea how long the drive would be using 1 instead of 101? Also, it looks like from Santa Rosa you need to take 128 north (from 101) to get to 1?
