Here's the commercial. You'll recognize the landscape. The documentary itself was compiled from 70mm film NASA had stored for 50 years. Plus, there are still shots taken with Hasselblad medium format cameras...

I don't know if anyone is watching Apollo 11 on CNN but there's a Land Rover commercial shot on Cow Dung Road (across the valley from Skyline) and at the Mars Research Center out there.

I had to go all the way back to 2013 to find any waves. This is Tenaya Lake in Yosemite. We stopped here to shoot a few on our way into the park. The date of arrival was Sept. 30, 2013. The next day, the park was closed due to the government shutdown of 2013, a brief affair by Trumpian...

I drove by there on my way to the North Rim in 2016 and the parking lot was jammed full of cars and several of those large Tour buses. I did a U turn in the parking lot and high tailed it to the North Rim cussing only slightly for my loss of time. :)
