Friday's Focus - 2019/06/21 - Minimalism

I don't know if these qualify as minimalist.

Hey Rick as you probably know from past threads, I think we all are trying to figure out Minimalism and what exactly it is. :)

My first thought is that these 2 are not really what would be considered minimalism. They are nice tight close up shots, so there is minimal elements but they aren't really landscape. For myself in terms of Landscape Minimalism I think it's got to be an actual landscape photo that then has minimal elements. There are some great examples of it in the thread so far, for example, look at Jim Dockery's submissions. If you look at the 3 photos that Jim posted, they give you a feel for what it is.

But.... with all that said I think like High Key, we are all still trying to figure this one out and where the boundaries are on what Landscape Minimalism is. I would be curious as to what others think too.

So, what you are saying is my images have minimal minimalism. :)
