Dawn at skyline

This is super nice Ben. I like that golden light still hitting it. Depending on the clouds, it's amazing just how long sunrise color can linger in a scene.

Where did you shoot this one from?

Thanks Jim, I did not realize I had this shot until I saw Jeffrey's version He was standing at he point and I was about 150 yards south. He must have used a longer FL as I had to do a lot of cropping to get rid of extraneous elements. Even so it's my favorite shot from the trip and is now hanging on my wall at 16x29

Wow, that certainly is the sibling of my image. We must have pressed our shutters at the exact same moment because I never heard yours. We both captured so many varieties of light that day, but this was the sweetest. Really nice image, Ben.

Jeffrey, you caught a sweeter moment than I did and it’s the best skyline I have ever seen.

One of the fun things about landscape photography is when we are able to visit a place multiple times and to watch how the more we go to that location the more we slowly become in tune with it and then the sweet spots (like this one) slowly begin to appear to us.

I find that level of discovery very satisfying.

What a beauty Ben, love the light on those peaks and FG, it could benefit if the sky was a bit cooler, but it really a matter of personal taste.

Cheers.

I don't know if anyone is watching Apollo 11 on CNN but there's a Land Rover commercial shot on Cow Dung Road (across the valley from Skyline) and at the Mars Research Center out there.

I watched that NASA documentary - amazing to see HD resolution imagery of that whole event.

I recognized the landscape in that commercial immediately since it started out with a drone view that was a dead match for Jeffrey's post from that area.
