Nice Ben. As a point of reference for everyone, on next year's trip, we will camp one night at Standing Rock, the tall skinny formation center left in the first image and get the view from the other side of the Maze. A drone shot of this area would be awesome if it were legal to fly them in a NP. 😭
This image is from the very first time I used a camera, a 2 MP C700UZ Olympus, which was about 2001 (I didn't even know to set the clock so that the date would be recorded in the EXIF). This was a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. About half the images were blurry from hand shake...
There was no traffic on the road going to Millard from the Ekker Butte campsite but there was some river traffic. Several clusters of canoers 🛶 floated by and a USGS survey team was doing their thing at the river's edge below our campsite. Solitude was not a thing on this particular day.
I see what you did here. 🤓
I am always intrigued by drone images and this one is no exception but since 95% of my subject matter is in National Parks and other NPS properties and drones are not allowed, a drone would be a waste of money for me. 😭
If you are 4WD enthusiast, it is a lot of fun getting there. :) There were plenty of impressive views along the way that went unphotographed because we were passing by them during midday. For whatever reason, I think I've become a sunrise/sunset photographer. 🤓
Mallards in the Marsh. Since this is a contest with many entries, I figure they have enough snowy images. Mallards in the Marsh has something interesting happening.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
