So I rebuild my HEQ5 installing a belt drive kit replacing the gears and ran this target for the last 2 nights totaling about (190) 5 min subs.
This target didn't need this much time but wanted to test the mount over 2 nights with meridian flips etc.
I would say the mount is running at a 40%...
So I tried printing on canvas and was very successful. Opened a whole new collection on my website.. see what you think

Anyone tried printing astro images on canvas? What was the result? My printer has the capability but wonder the final image quality as compared to photo paper?
Ya, I had bought a used HEQ5 for travel simply due to its lower cost, but I am in the process of installing a belt kit replacing the gears, conversion timing was just off for my trip and I used its much bigger brother EQ6R which IS NOT travel friendly lol.. One day I hope to get the AM5
So this image was taken while visiting family in Northern Ill last week. Aside from some upper atmosphere smoke, I had 4 clear nights.
Ended up with 15 gb's of data or 25 hours total of 5 min subs. Bortle 7-8 skies. The ALP_T filter did a good job pulling in color while cutting out city...
This for me was a real tough one. I have 15 1/2 hours invested in this and kinda disappointed in the final image. Perhaps it was the moon light or just my feeble skills?
Time to move on I guess

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
