So this image was taken while visiting family in Northern Ill last week. Aside from some upper atmosphere smoke, I had 4 clear nights.
Ended up with 15 gb's of data or 25 hours total of 5 min subs. Bortle 7-8 skies. The ALP_T filter did a good job pulling in color while cutting out city lights
I lost 7 hours due to the smoke.

Kits consisted of
WOGT71, ASI2600mc, Antlia ALP-T filter, EQ6R mount. and a bunch of new scrips in Pixinsight

Hey Ed, way to work that night! The Antlia ALP-T is sure worth it's weight in gold!

I hadn't heard this called the Bermuda Group before, so I learned something new.

Maybe you have already done this, but for travel you should look into the ZWO AM5 or AM5N. I know your mount is the standard astro mount that so many people use. But I am thinking the AM5 is getting closer to being that standard mount. It's so small, and yet can hold so much weight. And it's like totally wind resistant. You could image in a hurricane and your stars will still be sharp.

Ya, I had bought a used HEQ5 for travel simply due to its lower cost, but I am in the process of installing a belt kit replacing the gears, conversion timing was just off for my trip and I used its much bigger brother EQ6R which IS NOT travel friendly lol.. One day I hope to get the AM5

Great work Ed! I second Jim's comment about the ZWO strain wave mounts. I particularly like the AM5N as it does have some through the mount capability as well as a tighter spec for PE than the other 2 mounts (AM3 or older version AM5...) Feel free to reach out directly if you have any questions about the AM5N...
