There is a small island called Goat Island just offshore from the beaches at Harris Beach State Park that splits swells as they arrive off the east Pacific. The swells converge on the back side of the island and with active surf create an interesting spectacle as they create colliding waves...

Non-astro eyes here but I love your rework - much better feeling of depth and the colors really pop. Makes a much more engaging deep space scene to view.

Very nice - the indirect light offers good saturation of the colors in the hills.

Thanks Michael - I try to make an educated guess as to which cloud positions might yield a good color show and get set up in advance of the desired sun position. In this case I was in the air 10 minutes prior to when the colors started to pop.

Neat palette for this grand ditch. I love the menacing clouds over the north rim.
