Wednesday is for Waterfalls so anything that shows water being influenced by the fact that the earth sucks (gravity is just an illusion :)) belongs here. My offering for today is a small stretch of rapids along Sweet Creek from a visit last October.

Taking pictures with a drone wasn't even a pipe dream when I was living there and practical digital photography was still years away when I left.

As amazing as the colors on these avian specimens are in your images the accompanying prose is pretty much a match for the colors 😄

This is one of the nicer views of the Wasatch Range I recall seeing. So much nicer from the air.

Thanks Jameel - the Cape Horn viewpoint is actually just around the corner so this particular slope can only be seen from the Oregon side. Hwy 14 is near the top of the slope in this view. You can see this at Crown Point which is above and behind where I shot this from.

Cape Horn on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge offers some really nice views of the Gorge and the Oregon side of the river. That said the best view of fall colors at Cape Horn are from the Oregon side of the river since the colors are directly below the cliffs. This is one such...

Thanks Jameel - we are having a dry week with air stagnation warnings so I was surprised at being able to see as far as Mt. Jefferson. Thanks for pointing out my lens citation error - yes this is with the Mavic 4 Pro with the 168mm lens.
