No, the fish was caught by the adult and given to the young one. It was very interesting to watch. He stayed by his side the whole time, watching intently and making noises. Could almost guess the conversation.

I am always fascinated by Nature and adaptations for survival. This White Ibis had his eyes closed, while shaking the Crawfish to kill it, as a protection. I do not think I have many bird photographs with their eyes closed.

Thanks Alan, It is a hard bird to photograph and although I had some luck in finding him, being alone helped as I understand most animals comfort zone, I still came away empty handed on the flying shots. Hopefully I will find him out there again and we will be able to spend another morning...

I was able to spend a little time with this Kingfisher yesterday morning. He was active and very animated, I gave him his space and he flew out over the water several times to come back to perch on this branch. no fish so eventually moved on to another part of the lake.

At the Beach today in Birch Bay, this Herring Gull showed a little disrespect to the photographer, LOL
