Sharing two ore from my sunrise at Schwabacher Landing. I had set up for a composition I had scouted the previous evening, but once I felt the light on the mountains had peaked I switched to a tighter view, eliminating the foreground and focusing on just the mountains and reflections. Then I ran...
After a long night of photographing the night sky with timelapses (which I posted back in March of April) I had this very cool sunrise I was treated to in Grand Teton National Park. This was taken back in March, and I really liked all of the snow. Not everything was open, but what was open...
Almost the Snake River Overlook
Almost in normal color. :)
This is an Infrared image from a few weeks back. As the Snake River gets harder and harder to see from the famous Snake River Overlook that Ansel Adams made so famous, I have found myself gravitating to the south a 100 feet or so to...
A few weeks back in the Grand Tetons. After a night of star photography, the sun rose and the clouds (or vapor trails) looked cool. The ground is still in shadow.
Nikon D7100 - 590nm converted
Channel Swapped
I went for the yellow trees after Alan's recent photo, and I got into a yellow mood...
So from a few weeks ago as I was capturing timelapses at night I also stopped and took a few experimental Infrared images with my Nikon D7100 that I had converted at LifePixel to 590nm.
This was shot at 20 secs, ISO 3200 at F5.
This has been channel swapped which is pretty normal for Infrared...
Following on the heals of Alan's "Fenced" IR image, I have one that I was working on that included a different fence, a bit more modern in construction. This was on the road leading from Idaho Falls heading East to the Grand Teton National Park. It had just snowed, so there wasn't really places...
Or maybe a Chicken Roost? A Hog House? Not sure, but it looked cool kind of off by itself and buried in snow with the Tetons behind it. This was from a few weeks ago.
All comments are welcome,
Jim
From the Grand Teton National Park over at Mormon Barn Row. There had been a bunch of snow. While the road down towards them was plowed for about a mile, you had to walk on the snow to get to the barns and it was about 3 to 4 feet thick.
This one has a Custom WB, but no Channel Swap as I am...
This is my 2nd attempt at the old Aerochrome look, which was an old film type of IR film. My first attempt I never saved as I was just playing around after @Amy Nelson introduced us to the Aerochrome look a month or so ago.
The basic idea behind the Aerochrome for those who didn't see Amy's...
This is from 2 weeks ago in the Grand Teton National Park. I wanted to visit the park in the winter. I already posted a longer version that includes timelapse from several cameras shooting at the same time. But @Jim Dockery asked for a shorter version that was all from one camera, in this case...
This is from 2 weeks ago. After visiting with Ben, I detoured up to Grand Teton National Park to explore it in the winter and ended up spending a couple of nights enjoying the night skies. This is the 2nd night.
I was going to include scenes from a 3rd camera, my D610 that was doing some...
A few days ago in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, after I was done with the morning timelapses and I had thawed my fingers out a bit, I went out with my D7100 IR camera and captured this scene from the Teton Point Overlook. I thought the scattered trees would turn out great in IR, and they did...
I got back from a truly amazing trip to Grand Teton National Park!! I had a hard time coming home. SW CO is the only other place that has made me feel this way. This was the first mating I was there. Stopped at Colter Bay Before heading to Yellowstone for the day! CC Welcome!

On this day in the Grand Teton Park It started out nice with the sun out I was capturing all the frost on the trees and sunrise however by noon it was wind and cold again but I really wanted to photograph the barns and so I snowshoed out in wind and blowing snow! The wind was maybe 40-45mph...
As sunset rolled in so did these awesome storm clouds. It was like a feeling of pending doom or Armageddon approaching. This was in the Grand Tetons from a month ago from the Blacktail Pond Overlook area. Because of the clouds it was one of those where the colors were amazing in that there was...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
