This of course is of Mt Moran in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, and when I was driving by it with a minivan full of grandkids I saw the very cool cloud formation and we had to pull over and stop for a bit. The lighter colored cloud reminded me of a Cobra rising, which reminded me of G.I. Joe and...
This was from 2 weeks ago in the Grand Teton National Park. We were heading up into Yellowstone that day and the area in the Tetons that they are ranching and raising Bison, they were gathered together close to the road with many of them crossing the road. It made for a lot of fun shooting and...
I was down in Schwabachers in the evening to show the grandkids that area, when the storm clouds became much more serious and the wind and rain made it hard to photograph. So we packed up the kids and was heading back to camp to cook dinner, but as I got close to Blacktail Pond Overlook I...
When I was up in the Grand Teton's camping with 5 grandkids, I snuck out of the tent about midnight to go and capture the moon rise as it first light shines and lights up the peaks of the Tetons. I was fortunate that I got a cool meteor in this image too, it's one of the first as the peaks were...
I was up in the Grand Tetons shooting a never ending storm sunset, where out of the storm walks this moose and her child. I didn't have the 150-600mm with me, I did have a 70-300mm so that was what I put on real quick to capture these before they moved on.
All comments are welcome,
Jim

Taken with the Sony A6400 and edited on the iPhone.

My friend Rick Wyatt had just done the first telemark ski descent of The Grand Teton solo. We took a flight around the range to shoot his ski tracks. Shot on Fuji Provia 100 back in the early 80s.

Here are a couple of shots from my recent drive through Grand a Teton. Both were taken mid-morning with some nice clouds.
Any thoughts are welcome!
1) Snake River Overlook
2) Oxbow Bend
We came upon this grizzly (the ranger said he was likely a "sub adult") near Two Ocean Lake on Sunday. My heart rate did rise when he turned and started heading in our direction...
After spending a week in Yellowstone and Teton, we made a concerted effort to find a bull moose. This guy was nice enough to pose for a group of photographers for over an hour.
