This is a timelapse from a few weeks ago in Trona Pinnacles in California. My goal was to do Deep Space Astro that night, and so I had set up my D850 to shoot in camera timelapse video in the meantime. There is one small hiccup in it, that I have spent several hours trying to mask, and in the...
My wife and I were at first a bit disappointed that our last full day of a week long vacation in Oregon was a stormy. We ended up having one of our nicest walks on this beach just south of Cannon. A bit of rain made it a fast and exciting return, but didn't result in an actual soaking. Of course...
After Jim Fox's comments on my previous version of this in portrait orientation I went back and found this landscape zoomed in version and processed it today for a tighter view into the distant peaks.
Yesterday I set the alarm for 4 am so that I could make it up to Lake Serene below Mt. Index for sunrise. I was expecting this popular just less than 4 mile trail to be well boot packed, but was disappointed that the last mile was deep snow that only had a snowshoe track. My pace slowed...
I flew my drone from the end of the plowed road on Hwy 20 last week when I was up there to ski. This is looking back west to Diablo Lake, Colonial Pk. and Paul Bunyans Stump behind. 2 rows of 3 pano.
Taken from the SE, which is where the climbers route goes. This is a drone view from above the snow-park I camped at. I tried to ski it the next day but had to turn back 1,000 ft. from the rim in a whiteout.

I made a solo attempt on Mt. Saint Helens yesterday. Soon after I got this shot the clouds from the west enveloped me in a snowy whiteout. I turned around about 1,000 ft. below the rim and skied down by brail - we joke that it is like being inside a ping-pong ball. Luckily some other skiers...
I got this yesterday on a long slog breaking trail up the Deer Creek road off The Mountain Loop Hwy in WA.
I just processed this drone pano looking back down the valley that I'd skied up. The picture above was taken back down just around the corner. I was hoping for more sun breaks and a good...
This is from Badwater in Death Valley from a few days back. I wanted to find a place where I could get people movement and I thought about the main parking area at Badwater.
This was shot at 3 second intervals for the main shots. My second camera was set up at 2 second intervals so I could see...
We woke up late to a nice sunrise starting. I got up and made coffee, but didn't think it would amount to much. Just when I was pouring my cup it peaked and I hurried to get the drone up. Shoulda waited on the coffee - I missed the best of it, but the left overs were still nice.
Mt. Pilchuck...
Last week I was first tempted to fly my drone up by this nice thunderhead over the mountains. I really like the glimpse of the mountains beneath the clouds and the veil of rain.
I landed and waited a bit before taking off again to look toward Lake Stevens when the color got better.
Not my...
