One of my favorite sunset shots from Skyline. I was hiking along the rim at sunset with both my iPhone 13 and A7rII and switching back and forth. This was taken with the phone's wide lens then edited in ACR. I remember the immediate feedback and excitement when I saw this on the phone screen...

I also took some shots with my Sony at Skyline.

One of the things I wanted to do with my drone at Skyline was to fly down and out to get a view looking back up at the viewpoint. Look for my truck camper near the rim in the center and people at the point. 15 frame pano, each a median blended stack of 5 RAW shots, a total of 75 shots = 90 MP...

I launched my drone just outside the west entrance to the park for this view. Multi-frame pano incorporating median stacked bursts of 5 for each.

I really lucked out to arrive at The Valley of the Gods just in time to get my drone up to shoot sunset.

I really lucked out with the clouds at Skyline a few weeks ago.

My wife and I spent the night out at Skyline in our camper last week. Nice clouds cooperated for photos but no rain. Factory Butte on the drive in. Fellow photographer shooting the Butte. Sunset View to the Henry Mountains.

Had to stop a few times on the drive south from SLC to Goblin Valley. I told Debbie that God insisted I stop for this shot. Great thunderheads near Green River. Almost there.

I was sitting at my computer yesterday morning when I looked out the window and saw the sky turning gold. Grabbed the drone and hustled to the back-yard to look around and this is what I found a few hundred feet up. Note Mt. Rainier in the distance. Click through for larger gallery image.

I drove over Lizard Head Pass to catch some lightning, unfortunately that did work out so well. I got caught up in a lightning storm with strikes coming down all around me and there was no way I was able to get out of the truck to get any shots. I ended up staying the night in Durango and...

I made a drive through Glacier last night looking for bears (didn't find any) now that the Sun road is open. I did get the beginning of a summer thunderstorm over St Mary lake and Wild Goose Island though. The mosquitos were out in force so I made it a quick grab. Any thought are welcome.

Mt. Stuart is the Queen of the East Central Cascades. At 9,416 ft. it is the 2nd highest non-volcanic peak in the state and has some of the best alpine rock climbing. I got this shot from a ski tour on Bean Peak just SW of Stuart. The SE face of Bean hides the lower half of Stuart.

A beautiful day of spring skiing up the Teanaway valley in the central Cascades.

I don't get just clouds very often, but it's something I am going to pay attention to more. So this is a short timelapse of some clouds floating by. They took on the appearance of ocean waves to me. All comments are welcome, Jim

I finally viewed and edited this fly-by I got of Mt. Index a while back. Amazing the tools we have at a reasonable price now!

Not to be confused with the mountain of the same name in Mt. Rainier NP, this one is viewed from Hwy. 20 in the North Cascades. Paul Bunyan's Stump just to the left.
