The Wave at North Coyote Buttes tends to draw more photographers but the South offers much to shoot and is convenient from camping near White Pocket.

Shooting at Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley NP is always a treat. Not sure if this image meets the requirements of an "Abstract" but I submit anyway for comments and criticisms.

This classic abandoned house located south of The Dalles, OR, was destroyed several years ago in a raging prairie fire. There are a number of cool old buildings including houses, schools, grain elevators etc in this general area of N Central Oregon.

Crazy Hill and The Fire Wave.

This is a wonderful unappreciated State Park about a 50 min drive East of Las Vegas. There is camping and also a modern hotel nearby, I have been here twice, once in Fall when weather is perfect and once in August when it is not! But comfortable for evening shots.

These shots were taken a number of years ago at Hughes Water Gardens south of Portland, OR. The subjects seem fitting considering that much of the country is cold, snowy and icy.

Messing around taking some shots after our rather epic ice storm.

This image was taken in a cold December morning in Teton National Park. I was struck by the frost on the nearby bushes and the bluish tones peaking through the trees.

These two images were taken in early December several years ago. The morning temperatures around sunrise were in the -20°F range. Made for some interesting photography to say the least. However my fingers did not really enjoy the situation. Still it was worth every shiver!
