Just a very small selection.....it's hard to choose a few.
Looking north toward the alps from the lake district.
Across the lagoon in Venice -- Edit -- I replaced this photo with a more natural version. The first version was "artistically overdone!" :)
The view from the cliffs at...
Thanks Alan and Jim. I'm sure most people go there to see the many tent rock formations, but a friend and I wanted to walk through the slot canyon. There are some places it's almost too narrow to pass, and also there's at least one large boulder to climb over. The lighting and striated walls...
The canyon was formed through tuff deposits from nearby volcano eruptions millions of years ago. The monument is closed during the rainy season because of fast-moving waters through the canyon.
An interesting account and a very ingenious approach! I have to say the result is one of the most interesting photos I've seen from White Sands. I especially like way the Milky Way aligns with the Alamogordo lights.
I guess the images I posted are pretty static (I tend to wait until there are no people around). There's actually a lot of activity on the ranch, with an operating mill, and creative people following historic traditions.
Thanks for looking.
Darrell
This is a "living" historical ranch on El Camino Real.....south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is authentic and they have Spring, Summer, and Harvest festivals. The name means "the ranch of the swallows".
And there are "ranch hands" and even some "actors" in period costumes.
Though not as dramatic a recovery as those above, some editing was necessary to show the intent of this photo. It is a picture at the Soda dam in the Jemez mountain area of New Mexico.
I'm impressed. I can't say I recall any photos I've taken through bus/train/airplane windows that were usable at all. The photos on the return trip suffer a little but Alan's suggestion may do the trick.
I found the shot from the dome car window to be the most intriguing at first glance!

The steps you've explained and the results you obtained -- all very impressive. I'm not sure the AI generated features are really better than what you did (if I am interpreting the various stages correctly). Even the slightest alteration in some detail can lose a characteristic that is...
Thanks for your comments....I use the scanner so seldom these days, I was struggling a bit with it. I now realize I still have 4 film cameras tucked away that will probably never see use again.
A fairly late model from Yashica, soon overtaken by all things digital. It received rave reviews in the British photo press because of the Zeiss Tessar lens (which is truly excellent). I've heard they're selling now for several times what I paid when new.
A sample photo I found......which...
I appreciate seeing the sample photo you posted. The quality looks very good. I have a couple of anamorphic lenses from many years ago when I was doing mainly motion pictures. I don't think my lenses are the best quality and certainly wouldn't compare to those available today. Be sure to let...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
