The Superstitions is one of my favorite places in the Valley of the Sun, and this is a nice image even at the wrong time of day.
I can say the many times that I've hiked around there I have never seen a deer! I have had a run in with a rattlesnake though, and snake season is approaching. But...
Going to revive this thread as I need a new tripod and in 2023 what is the forums opinion on what available today? I will shoot with up to a 500mm, and I also like to setup for close to ground level imaging.
Thanks guys, and yes the clouds is what makes #1 do it for me. I also like the curveture of the mountains, it kind of gives it a fish eye effect.
#2 is cool, reminds me of a scene from The Outer Limits that I saw back when I was a kid. LOL
Yes it looked like a duck type yard ornament, and thanks Alan. That scene was really cool and was at the back of the park and as you can see a cemetary was behind the park.
A few random B&W images. The first one was taken with my D100 back in 2007 near Seven Springs AZ and the second is from the Shady Dell in IR. I just liked this image converted to B&W, as it has that 1950's Cold War era feel.
C&C welcome
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
