Sand and Rocks

You might have clicked on this thread thinking about a desert scene but this is out on a beach at low tide. I was fascinated by the clean untracked patterns in the sand from the outgoing waves as the tide dropped and the variety of sand textures and colors. The light was actually quite uniform so all of the sand colors are what the Pacific left behind that morning. The multicolored rocks scattered about were a nice bonus.

Thanks Jeffrey - those small colorful rocks are what caught my eye as I was wandering along the beach.

Thanks - a simple scene that changes with every tide cycle. Always worth keeping an eye out for the little gems mother nature leaves laying around for us like this.
