A honey bee swarming occurs when a large colony subdivides into two colonies. The new colony swarms to find a new place to live. If you know a bee keeper, call them as they may want to collect the colony and relocate them to a bee box for honey production.
We cut them out of the bush and put into a cardboard box for the evening. In the morning my friend Laurie prepared a new box for them and they happily moved in...
It was really interesting as they marched like little soldiers..
