Good morning - happy hump day and time for more waterfalls.

For today I am going to feature Proxy Falls in the Oregon Cascades. The day I visited these falls was pretty seriously wet and mother nature was doing her best to make sure I experienced what it would be like to just go stand under the falls. The one given was that I could not point my camera up unless I wanted to fill up my lens hood with water so I had to shoot the falls in segments.

The view from far enough away to see the top:

A bit closer on one of the sides of the falls:

And finally the incredibly mossy base of the falls:

Pile on and let the waterfalls flow :)
Nicely captured Alan. These can be challenging for the reasons you mentioned. Late summer the volume of water subsides and provides better conditions to shoot here.

First of all, Alan, what a great idea "Waterfall Wednesday" was. Thanks! Your images here are really nice. I love the nice soft light.

Here is my contribution for this week. This fall is on a small creek in the Paradise area of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Doug,
How do you manage to get all those beautiful flowers in your images.

Douglas, great image of Myrtle Falls.
Thanks again Alan for starting this, another vote for the last image. Here is one I took someplace along the north east entrance (Beartooth hwy) after entering Yellowstone Park.

This is a part of Minaret Falls in the Devils Post Pile area of the Eastern Sierra. It's a huge falls that can be hard to grasp.

Barry, my favorite from this week. Great image.
Hey Guys,
Here is my contribution to Waterfall Wednesday. This is a waterfall located in a difficult place to hike to by Mingus Mountain. I call it Mystery Canyon Falls.

Very interesting Jim. Would definitely like to visit on my upcoming trip but may not be accessible.
Thanks Jameel. I can tell you that it won’t be accessible, the road is closed with snow. It’s pretty high up there so it gets socked in with snow. I haven’t paid strict attention to it’s opening time but I think it’s close to when Tioga Pass opens, and that won’t be for a while yet, especially after the recent snows.

Rick,
I am not sure you would want to swim in this water. Very cold and I think it doesn't run in the summertime. But thanks for you comments.
