Good morning - happy hump day and time for more waterfalls.

For today I am going to feature Proxy Falls in the Oregon Cascades. The day I visited these falls was pretty seriously wet and mother nature was doing her best to make sure I experienced what it would be like to just go stand under the falls. The one given was that I could not point my camera up unless I wanted to fill up my lens hood with water so I had to shoot the falls in segments.

The view from far enough away to see the top:

A bit closer on one of the sides of the falls:

And finally the incredibly mossy base of the falls:

Pile on and let the waterfalls flow :)

The base of the falls is my favorite!

First of all, Alan, what a great idea "Waterfall Wednesday" was. Thanks! Your images here are really nice. I love the nice soft light.

Here is my contribution for this week. This fall is on a small creek in the Paradise area of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Really nice looking falls.

Matkatamimba in the Grand Canyon.
That's a really neat scene - I like the patterns on the walls of that slot.

I know that spot along the trail. I believe the name is Edith Creek. There is a set of falls farther up from where you shot this (telephoto lens access only) and Myrtle Falls are just below the bridge.

Thanks again Alan for starting this, another vote for the last image. Here is one I took someplace along the north east entrance (Beartooth hwy) after entering Yellowstone Park.
Nice - pretty heavy flow going through through that chute.

Thanks, Alan. I couldn't remember the name of the creek and it was driving me nuts. I even researched a bunch of maps of Mt. Rainier but none of them had the name because the creek is so small.

This is a really nice image, Monika. I can see you do some serious hiking. Are you still doing your Grand Canyon Trip at the end of April and are you considering coming to the Sedona area afterward?
Hi, Douglas. Almost no hiking involved for that shot - just a short walk up from the river. Yes, I'm leaving in a few weeks, but haven't decided on what to do after the Grand. Work-related situation is fluid & I may end up having to come back right away, but if I don't, then, yes, Sedona is still a possibility. If you keep posting tempting shots for that time of year, it'll rise higher.... :)

Ah, wildflower season! Unfortunately, it's been so dry in Colorado, I doubt we'll have much of one this year.
