Still using my Nikon Z5, SW 100ed Apo and SW HEQ5 Pro. No auto guiding or CCD's. Just keeping it simple and fun.

Maybe I need to try too. I figured without Narrow band filters we couldn't see the pillars, but you proved that wrong! Great work Yervant, I will see if I can capture this tonight.

Thanks Jim. I went crazy with all kinds of gear with my regular photography. I didn't want to do that with Astro. Having laptops ,CCD's, Auto guiding cam's, wires all over the place is not my idea of fun. Others my think it is and that's just fine.

Pretty neat result. I am with you about the complex setup for astro - while that gets some great results, I don't have the patience or the energy for it.

I totally get you Yervant. I do want to improve what I capturing in Deep Space, but I am going very slow and really thinking what steps I want to take, since I also want to keep it very simple. I will add a few pieces, I just want to make sure they are the right pieces and as you said not complicate it.

Looks great, there is nothing wrong with using a dslr and keeping it simple. As long as you are having fun.
