Jeffrey, that is just plain sick.Oh, please don't make me decide on one! I like so many. I'll say that my favorite is the one I'm in at any given time. But just to trip you up, this is Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.

Love the light.Nice images, everybody!
I don't get to National Parks or Monuments much since I usually have my dog with me so.....here is Colorado's 1st National Monument. It was created in 1908. Because of it's remote location (about 1 1/2 hours on a 14-mile 4x4 road or a 7 mile backpack), it lost its status due to lack of traffic in 1950. The Wheeler Geologic Area is now part of La Garita Wilderness.
My first time there was as a backpack, sleeping at about 11,000', listening to my heart pound and elk bugle all around me. There was a rancher who would pack in with some of his horses, then ride out with some & bring his others in. He'd spend a total of 2 weeks there every fall. Pretty nice deal. The next time, I had a high clearance 4WD, but in some ways I missed walking in. I didn't miss walking out, though! View attachment 7083
Rainier could have been mine also. Great shot, fantastic colors. So many national parks to choose from. Here is one from Mt Rainier. A glimpse into what Fall looks like. This is looking at the Paradise Lodges.

I am up near La Push for the next two nights and am going to try my hand at a sunset plus some star shots tonight at Rialto. I have had cloud cover every night except for last night. I intended to go up to Ruby around 4:00am but oversleptAlan, nice perspective. You shooting stars there tonight?
just remember where you come into the beach at. In the dark the trail off the beach is not easy to find, If you lose the forest on your left, you gone to far, but the overnight parking lot should be right there.I am up near La Push for the next two nights and am going to try my hand at a sunset plus some star shots tonight at Rialto. Seems weird because there are no clouds outside at all right now.
I have to park down by the overnight parking lot anyway since I don't really fit in the one near the restrooms all that well.just remember where you come into the beach at. Lovely image. The light and the lightening !!!Great images everyone. Here's one from my favorite Joshua Tree NP, the national park that I've visited the most. It probably helps that it's the closest.
