Last year was the first year I had a clue where I needed to go up the Columbia River Gorge to see fall colors from the perspective of flying a drone. The view from the air is quite different from what you can see on the ground and places you drove right by looking for the established trailheads turned out to be the gold mines for color shows. I made enough trips last fall to get a good record of when and where the best colors came out. I was looking through the shots last night from repeated trips and isolated Oct. 20 as the first visit where changing leaves really started to dominate the scene. This one shows a small unnamed lake that collects the flows from Latourell and Shepperds Dell Falls and the flow heading towards Mirror Lake at the base of Crown Point directly behind this view. This is a 2 shot panorama using a 70mm lens.
C&C always welcome.
