Crashing Waves

The Bean Hollow beach is a quite unique place: the rock formations are different from other patterns along the California coast, it's very different. On a good day when there is no fog, the waves would crash onto the jagged beaches.

I had good luck tonight: it was clear sunset.

Jim, it's a little beach only locals go to, more so a spot for the photographers.

Bob put it well. The curve of the waves against the sunset really makes this special. One of the best wave pictures I've seen in a while.

Jim, thanks for the kind words. Yes, it's near high tide, I took dozens of shots to get the wave in the right form & height.

Jim, I just downed my 2nd shot of brandy, so here is my warning: watch out for the sneaker waves, NEVER turn your back to the sea.

I have seen too many accidents tragedies along the coast.
