Three photos of electrical poles taken recently on the plateau here. They made me think of coachmen or conductors.

I don't usually go for the 4:5 or 8 x 10 crop, but this one just seemed to lend itself to that...
It was pretty calm come sundown at Upper Cathedral Lake in the High Sierra section of Yosemite. This was from almost 2 years ago, like many I am digging through some of the archives.

Hey guys!
Its been a while, many good changes happened in my life, but then the Corona struck, i am still busy working, so did not have much time for posting.
Here is a fairly recent shot:
This place kept me waiting for proper conditions for more than 3 years, each time the water level and...
My wife and I arrived at Artist's Pallet for sunset. I walked around in the area to the south, but wasn't psyched about any of my shots, it all looked too uniformly yellow/brown. It wasn't until after the Pallet went into shade that things got interesting. It was also quite nice to have the...
I opened up my archive diving photography project to Facebook (feel free to send friend requests if you want to play) and started taking requests. Here's the first from a friend that misses the Bay Area. I shot this from Twin Peaks a while back and my real intention was to shoot towards downtown...
Another shot from a few weeks ago at Woods Cove in Laguna Beach California. The clouds were a bit heavy on the horizon, the sunset never turned Nuclear but it still produced some nice color I thought.

Yesterday I left work of the unknown. My office manager pulled me aside as I was walking out the door to tell me that as a company they will try and keep me on the payroll for as long as they can. That was the first time I felt this feeling of uncertainty and it's an uncomfortable.
Today was...
Photographing Cornwall feels like working between land, sea and sky - almost like working where land ends. This is never more true than while photographing Cornwall's Land's End, when looking towards the ocean you know that the next patch of land is Newfoundland. Enys Dodnan Arch at sunset, 45...
This is a kind of large Sea Cave, but not a very deep cave at Woods Cove in Laguna Beach. I didn't use any lighting in this, the Nikon D850 is just really great at Shadow Recovery which makes it so useful for these shooting locations.
Due to the higher tide there wasn't anyone congregating in...
This is from last night at Woods Cove in Laguna Beach, California. We have been having rainy weather lately, and with that the clouds will break up a bit at times, and they looked like they would be scattered around sunset along with a nice tide. So I ran down there for sunset. The actual best...
My wife and I braved the 10 miles of washboard in our new truck camper rig to finally get into Eureka Dunes. It was skull rattling, but doesn't actually require too high clearance or 4x4, just patience. The good part of the bad road is that it puts off many people - there were only 2 other...
From recently out in the local hills here, the rain was coming in, and it formed this column in the sky. I noticed a plane flying through it so I captured a few with it too thinking it might be different.

Here is Part II of my series of Wellington's southern coastline. We lived in Island Bay in 2015 and this was certainly our favorite spot on the coast. We also had the best apartment, a self-contained unit made from a converted garage. It was practically on the water and you could hear the waves...
Hey guys, too busy with moving my shop to a new location, but could not refuse the notification.

Great light to you.
I've been perusing photos taken in 2017 around Wellington, New Zealand where I lived for almost 3 years with my husband. Makes me miss it. Wellington is on the southern coast of the North Island. At sunset you can glimpse mountain peaks on the South Island across the strait. The small village...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
