    April in the Alps

A couple pictures of some flowering trees in the village taken the other evening with the mountains as a backdrop. I'm glad I've had time to immortalize some of the things in bloom while they last, the season is moving quickly here. C&C welcome. April In The Alps by Amy Earl posted Apr 26, 2020...

    Arbusigny Sunrise II

Here's another shot from pretty much the same vantage point as the one in my recent Arbusigny Sunrise post, just taken a little later in the morning on my way back from my walk. Morning in Haute-Savoie by Amy Earl posted Apr 22, 2020 at 7:58 PM I really like the shapes of the distant hills...

    Spring in Red

So well we got some good snow here in Colorado! I had to go back to the barn. It has become my favorite thing to photograph right now. CC Welcome

Ok, well spring is in the air for now, as we have snow in the forecast for Saturday night into Sunday. These are flowers blooming in the yard. CC welcome! I also learned a new trick with my Manfrotto tripod!!

    Yellow Sunshine

It isn't my normal but since we are all staying home I have been helping my mother out in her yard cleaning it up and cutting over growth down. Spring is blooming. CC welcome

    Hope

Yesterday I left work of the unknown. My office manager pulled me aside as I was walking out the door to tell me that as a company they will try and keep me on the payroll for as long as they can. That was the first time I felt this feeling of uncertainty and it's an uncomfortable. Today was...

    A blooming snowstorm

There was a spring snowstorm last year on May 5th. It was real windy. I ran out to the field where the apple trees were all in bloom and captured some shots of them getting covered by the driving snow. The spring flowers thread reminded me about these shots that I never cropped quite the way I...

    Late Spring Vertical RMNP Pano

Here is a previous capture of mine taken in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a location just off the road, shot in May of 2015. The dynamic range was a challenge, so I ended up HDR combining sets of 3 images into a single frame, and then taking 3 of those frames to stitch together...

    Half Dome in the Spring

This was from 2 months back in Yosemite National Park. High water in the Merced, it was getting later in the afternoon and I liked the way the light was hitting Half Dome, and also how the reflection was a constantly changing abstract. All comments are welcome, Jim

    Solitary Sojourner

While hunting Dogwood Blooms around Yosemite Valley 2 months ago, I came across this Solitary Sojourner. It's solitary life really spoke to me. This is shot at f5.6 to isolate the bloom from the ground. I shot it at f13, f8, f5.6 and f4. And I ended up with f5.6 when I could review back here at...

    Lonely

Hey guys! Glad to find some time for the forum. Here is one taken in March with my friend Avi, at Ruhama, it took a while to get to this one, cause i had a certain vision for this, and it required some mental preparation to work on it... _DSC3011-SV12g by lionking posted Jun 17, 2019 at 9:12...

    The Green Hills

Here's another image from the Sunol Regional Wilderness. I really liked the highlights on the rolling hills. I have actually toned down the greens in this. Any thoughts are welcome.

    Sunol Spring

My favorite local park is the Sunol Regional Wilderness, about 15 miles from home. I went for a hike yesterday, checking out our rare green hills. This was one scene I liked, with a nice oak, some good clouds, and a few flowers (NorCal style). Any thoughts are welcome.

    Wild Playground.

I hope i did not post this before. Taken at Park Canada, in Ayalon Valley, this is where wild boar play, there are lots of evidence to that, not to mention my previous encounter, this time me and @Levy Davish went for proper sunrise, thanks to promising forecast, we had a great light. As Levy...

A bit of spring on a hot summer day

2014 was an amazing poppy year in the sierra foothills. With this heat I tend to look back on fall and spring images just to cool off my mind.

    Cerro Este Overlook

I took this last year when the hills in Northern California were at "peak green" after finally getting some rain. A good sunset was forecast so I left work early to hike up the hill to my favorite viewpoint. You can just make out San Francisco in the distance. Any thoughts are welcome.
