Here is a previous capture of mine taken in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a location just off the road, shot in May of 2015. The dynamic range was a challenge, so I ended up HDR combining sets of 3 images into a single frame, and then taking 3 of those frames to stitch together...

Here's another image from the Sunol Regional Wilderness. I really liked the highlights on the rolling hills. I have actually toned down the greens in this. Any thoughts are welcome.

My favorite local park is the Sunol Regional Wilderness, about 15 miles from home. I went for a hike yesterday, checking out our rare green hills. This was one scene I liked, with a nice oak, some good clouds, and a few flowers (NorCal style). Any thoughts are welcome.

2014 was an amazing poppy year in the sierra foothills. With this heat I tend to look back on fall and spring images just to cool off my mind.

I took this last year when the hills in Northern California were at "peak green" after finally getting some rain. A good sunset was forecast so I left work early to hike up the hill to my favorite viewpoint. You can just make out San Francisco in the distance. Any thoughts are welcome.
