Purple Spots is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. This foxglove had fallen off the plant and was on the ground. I took it, opened it up, spread it out flat on a wood chip, and used it as a subject. So, this is what one...
Gold Strips is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Grove Plantation near Adams Run, SC. The wind was well above my normal limit, and even with a plamp, the conditions were very challenging. It is a dried thistle head.
H 2 Oh! is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. I was lucky to keep most of my gear dry after the automatic sprinkler system came on while I was working the pansies in Patsy's Garden, but the good news is after it was done, I was able to create...
Dropped In is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I loved the colors of this lily, but the drops were even more attractive.
Half Cone is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. To create an artistically pleasing piece, I used a perspective that I hadn't previously considered.

Its a close up of the ancient tree i shared recently, had to re-shoot it, since i did not have enough exposures for the proper DOF, this is a stack of 39 exposures for the full DOF...
Sunbeams is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. The subject was extremely delicate. I tried to brush a different one off with my makeup brush and the whole thing collapsed like it was made of paper.
Frond Lines is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. The colors were enhanced by golden hour sunlight (gotta love back lighting).

Hey guys!
This one is from an unsuccessful morning session, by that i mean, we went to shoot the sunrise, which was disappointing, so not leave empty handed me and @Levy Davish did few macro shots.

I got the idea to use a flat bed scanner on flowers at an art show. I came home and scoured the neighborhood for some flowers that were changing color in the fall then asked a neighbor if I could cut a few.
This is my first steps in the macro world. I borrowed a 100 Tokina macro lens form my friend @lionking and I played with it this morning.
This image is stacked from 5 images, unfortunately manually (D850 needs AF lens to allow Focus shifting).
C&C is welcomed
