Brought my drone along for the first day of skiing Mt. Pilchuck this year. The snow is going fast and was a bit slushy/mushy but we still had fun. These frame grabs aren't perfectly sharp because I was using a 32 ND filter for the video.
The Skagit Valley tulip fields are a big tourist draw this time of year. We just did a quick stop at one field on our way to dinner at Nell Thorn's in La Connor (highly recommended). I've shot them many times from the ground so I took my drone up for a quick look.
Nice little winter hike to a nearby mountain lake. I've deleted the original video I posted after following Jim's advice. Here is the edit. Open full screen to view full HD.

I couldn't find a partner yesterday, and was sorry to worry my wife, but had to hit the blue-bird day with cold temps and recent bit of powder. Avy danger was low and I went to one of my old favorites that isn't far back. My first day using the drone to shoot skiing, which is one of the main...
Didn't look spectacular from my house this morning, but it only takes a couple minutes to get the drone up a few hundred feet to see the big view.

As I mentioned in another post while I was shooting Saturday evening at Little Corona in Corona Del Mar California, there was this guy flying his drone right in front of me for most of the duration of the sunset. Besides the constant buzzing and the occasional flying the drone within 10 feet of...
The light on the golden tree at the river's bend attracted me to this spot in the first place. I worked many angles looking for compositions (the boon & bane of droning), this was my favorite.

Took the drone up for a looksee for sunrise this morning. Didn't appear too exciting from my front yard, but once I was a couple hundred feet up this opened up! Click through for a larger gallery version.
