I used to have a boulder that was the perfect height to sit back from and shoot birds flying in & out from the seed on it. This jay was flying in over the boulder.
It was a beautiful day in RMNP today. My friend hiked up to Emerald Lake and then Alberta Falls were the birds came out because I
guess they wanted my pumpkin flavored muffin! HA! (and no I did not feed the wildlife) Oh and also shot with the new Z6II / FTZ adapter and the
70-200mm lens.

A very successful nest where the pole with their original nest had been replaced during off season and they busily rebuilt the following season and raised chicks in the same location. This was the 1st location I actually heard pileateds inside a pole drilling it out while they were out of sight.

This cattle egret was an hour north of my NH home staying for days on a cow farm and in the lush green field across the street. It had been years since I had seen any them down in Essex, Massachusetts where I often saw them in the marshes. and golf course.
