I was once again out at Petit LeMans this year purely as a spectator. We logged many miles in the golf cart running around. It was a lot of fun as usual.
#1: I have spent a lot of time working on my shooting through stuff skills...this one is at 1/10 to really blur all the stuff.
#2: Early...
Thanks Jim. It was very productive, I find that time on my own is very productive, there is no one telling me to get moving and I can spend as long as I want to in any one place. The first one is likely to be the new piece in my dining room, pretty big too.
Thanks for the encouragement Jim. Actually, #1 and #7 were the least impacted by the mosquitos, those are both out on the end of a really long boardwalk...it was when you were on shore or in camp that they were just awful! It was nice to get away, it is good for the mind...there are not a lot...
Thank you Ben. Despite the weather while I was there I was pretty happy with what I came away with. I will see what I can do about my activity level...spare time is at a minimum despite WFH!
Good morning Alan. Yes, picking favorites on photos is like picking favorites on your kids...hard to do...so I only had one child! Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the skeeters were violent...I had bites through two layers of clothing, big clumps of them...they were relentless and miserable...
I spent a couple of days at the end of September up at Reelfoot Lake State Park in the NW corner of Tennessee. It was a solo camping trip that was primarily focused on long exposure photography. I had shared a couple of these on FB and made a video about it on my YT channel, and Jim asked me...
Thanks Ben, mighty kind of you. I had a great birthday, spent it out in the mountains with two longtime friends.
Thanks Jim and Alan. I stopped in today for the first time in ages, been a little nutz this year.
I of course like this one...how can you not. I think that tree works on this one, it helps create a sense of depth, more so than if you had been in front of it. Now you feel like you are looking through to a location, experiencing it more for how it is. I dig it.
I had fun with the exercise...and enjoy seeing other peoples take on the same scene.
Thanks, I can't let perspectives correction go...espeically if there is a building, and it is close...if it is way off intentionally, that is something else entirely. I probably went further on all of the...
I think #1 will be a great location int eh right conditions, it has a lot to offer. #3 is a favorite as well, but I am a sucker for those big spillover rocks.
I have watched almost the entire online library that Ben Horne has on YouTube during this isolation...his voice is soothing and...
So it said play...edit in a different way than normal. I never use software like Photomatix to blend images...but a lot of people do, so I thought I would try it out. Edited in a much different way to start with...then went through some more edits once it was done. I think it was a fun...
Thanks Alan, we had a great trip and had some fun along the way. That last night way out there in the dunes was great, just wish I had been able to shoot them with the digital camera. The film camera just couldn't handle the way I usually like to shoot.
Thank you Ben, yes, good times with my...
Just before Covid-19 took over the world, I made my annual trip to Death Valley. This year it was just my dad and I. Others had planned to go but as it got closer life got in the way for all of them. It meant I got to spend some good quality time with my dad in one of my favorite places in...
It is a very nice image, the quality you usually deliver. My question relates more to composition, asking because I see you have done it here. Bringing elements in from the corners, I like to bring in from corners, I feel like it leads the eye in on a smooth path. But I have gotten quite a...
Great set of images. Which island(s) did you go to. We are scheduled to go back to Hawaii in June...if this whole Covid thing settles out...but I am not hopeful at this point.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
