Here’s a shot of the Central Australian Desert in the Northern Territory of Australia. The rock formation is Kata Tjuṯa, the only rock that I’ve ever thought disliked me.

I took photos of the same patches Monika displayed here. I drove over Jubilee Pass from Shoshone, through Badwater and past Lake Manly, and back to Bishop via Stovepipe Wells and Panamint. The lake is smaller than it was a few years ago too.
Nice shots, Monika. I went out there to shoot wildflowers a few weeks ago. Frankly, the flowers a few years ago were better and more numerous. Of course, the media has overblown the “superbloom”.
The water in Te Manaroa spring is boiling and I’ve seen temperature estimates as high as 100 degrees C. Depending on the wind direction, the spring can be difficult to photograph because of all the steam.
This is a phone shot of a heron that hangs out within a road project in town. One of the inspectors told me that he’s seen this guy in other parts of the project and isn’t disturbed whatsoever by the work.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
