    Tioga Pass

Thanks, everyone for the comments! Yes! The first image is a stack of four, and the last one is a stack of two. I'm not a fan of elements being barely out of focus. I used tilt-shift lenses all the time, but it didn't make sense to hold onto $4,000 worth of lenses when focus stacking images...

Anyone capturing the Blood Moon Eclipse?

I guess I'm late to the game! I only just finished processing one of mine. The wind was a little challenging in the Bristlecones, but it died down occasionally.

    The maze from Standing rock

I really like the sidelight you caught here Ben. The light on the trees is wonderful. The isolated light spot on the left edge is a little distracting.

    The Draw of Death

I'm not usually a fan of color IR, but the Joshua Trees work really well at 590 nm. Well seen!

    Tioga Pass

I went up to Tioga Pass two sunsets in a row, and the lake ice visibly changed in one day. All comments welcome! Tim #1 Break in Winter #2 Opening Up #3 Painted Ice

    Salt Flats

After my hike up the canyon, I parked to sleep at the salt flats, but it was still 95 degrees. It was pretty cloudy, but I decided to walk out onto the flats toward moonset to see what I could make while I waited for the temperature to come down. Fortunately, some of the clouds stuck around for...

    Multnomah Falls

I like your take Michael! What were you trying to put out of focus with the large aperture? If your plan was to get the foreground plants out of focus, I'm almost certain that style involves blending in an image that has focus pushed past infinity to get as much bokeh as possible.

    Death Valley Canyon Again

Thanks Ben, Alan, and Jim! Interesting take! I think if the cloud was the subject that would work really well, but I view it as an accent (quite literally it looks like a tilde). I consider the prince's plume blooms to be the subject (especially the lower left). The lead in works to bring my...

    Death Valley Canyon Again

After hiking out of the oasis a Sierra Wave started making its way over the mountains. The prince's plume was surrounded by pollinators earlier, but they went to ground at sunset. All comments welcome! Tim Prince's Road

    This old tree.

Good eye Ben! The tree appears to be doing ballet.

    Mt. Hood This Morning

Hmmm. I really like the original presentation, but the crop tells a whole different story. I don't think I'm being any help here...

    Return to Death Valley Waterfall

Thanks for the comments everyone! It's definitely not a canyon I've seen named in the regular circles (just the weirdos who seem to spend most of their life in Death Valley). I'm not sure how long the flow lasts, but the evaporation rates have to be intense in the height of summer. I think...

    Fan the Flames

Excellent! I've been looking for cloud activity like that at night, and have so far come up dry. (I also like the very small camera just below the Milky Way. It's a fresh take on the person with a flashlight...)
