Thank you Jameel, and here is a version that I originally cropped and did some B&W processing on it back in 2006. I am now drawn to the new version that isn't cropped. I like the vastness of the water above the bridge.

These are some digital images that I revisited with the B&W mindset. The first is an older image created with my D100. Weavers Needle Queen Valley The lighting was super harsh, but the backlit saguaros really drew me into this scene.

Thats what I was shooting for!

Thanks for your input Jim, it's really good feedback, and yes our standards have gotten higher since then. I do like tack sharp images, like the ones Jefferey produces with his Fuji camera. But I also like the softer look of film, and with the 2nd image, it looked like a painting to me and just...
