Perpetua Cappuccino

One more frothy scene from a rather active day along the Oregon coast at Cape Perpetua. Handheld shooting when conditions get this active can be a lot of fun - I left my tripod behind on this particular day so I could react more quickly to the waves as they put on their display of stormy fury.

Thanks for the comments - it was a pretty impressive display that day with a lot of lens wiping involved but I love watching the Pacific when it gets riled up. The slot in the basalt is Cook's Chasm.

Thanks Mike - on a stormy day like this the horizon sucks so my photo focus trends towards smaller scenes with interesting features. The shape shifting going on with the foamy mess in these basalt ledges was fun to play with.

Thanks Tim - there were some amazing textures to work with. There was enough salt spray in the air that licking my lips even tasted salty. Not sure I want to find out what that foam was like
