* Note: This schedule is tentative, and could be changed due to weather. But it looks pretty firm

* Note: Since we will be shooting the stars and Milky Way during the night, we will plan a few Nap times during the day for people to catch up on sleep. Also, we probably won't be up all night shooting the stars, but could be until 1am or so. And anyone can go to sleep during the night at any time they feel the need. There is no requirement to have to shoot the stars.

* Please be sure that I (Jim) have your phone number so we can text or call in case meeting up at Hanksville at 4pm gets delayed on Friday.

** If you know you can't meet us at 4pm in Hanksville on Friday, please just let us know and we can work something out to make sure you get together with us.

*** Reminder for our Night time shooting.
Canon users, please turn off the Red light that comes on the back of your cameras when you are shooting. It's amazing how that one little red light can turn the whole foreground red at night. And for some of you who have Image Review turned on to Automatically show your photo after taking a photo. Please turn that off as it also causes a light of light pollution at night.

Sounds great Jim, thanks for the schedule. I will be in the vicinity earlier, probably Tuesday, to check out some particular areas I want to explore and will hang out myself until the meetup. Anyone is welcome to join in. I'll come to town to check for messages or calls, if there is service there.

I had Verizon service at Skyline Overlook and also at the Cathedral Valley Overlook.

This is going to be a great meet up and not the least is for me to be able to meet a few new faces who I know from the forum but have not met in person. Here are a couple places in the area that may be of interest to those who have a bit more time.

Thanks Ben, my friend Grizz (Steve Adams who just joined) and I will probably stop at Goblin Valley for a bit. It's only a 3 hour drive to Hanksville, so we will have plenty of time.

AT&T works in the same locations. It also works off and on around Factory Butte. so there locations to get cell service. We won't have any when we are back in at Temple of the Sun and Moon, but we should all be together there so that shouldn't be an issue.

ATT here, but not necessarily proud of it. Will do a check when I get there.

It's much closer than that.
AT&T worked better then Verizon out there the last I checked. (I have both) Sprint also works, but is in 3rd place. :)

He is driving to my house and riding with me. I have room in my truck for one, but two with gear would be a real stretch plus my back seat is one of those half cab jobs so hard for a grown up to ride there.

Jameel is driving down there, you should grab your gear and hitch a ride with him... :)
My traveling and shooting activities are on hold while I am undergoing more tests to see if my orthopedic docs can do anything to allow my arm to work better.
