Another archive image from the Portland Japanese Garden. This particular feature in the complex is hard to get good compositions out of as the designers didn't solely have photography in mind when they built it. I tried shooting overall views of it on several occasions but found that small scenes made more sense.

Thanks - a drone would be the best way to shoot this gravel garden but you would be far beyond profoundly unwelcome if you yanked one out and launched in the Japanese Garden. It would be a short flight and a quick end to your visit.
