Women in Surgery

This is a PR photo for an annual report for the hospital where I used to work. All these women are either general, otolaryngological, or ophthalmic surgeons. It's a composite image because I needed to balance the exposures between the faces and the overhead lights. I laid on my back on the floor of the OR because I didn't want to use a superwide angle lens and distort the faces, so they were shot around 35mm or so. I then photographed the overhead lights from the same position and combined the two in photoshop.

Wow Michael! This looks so awesome!

And thanks for sharing how you set it up. I am not sure I would have thought of doing the women separate from the lights. To do it all in one shot would have been almost impossibe without some crazy external lights. This worked perfectly.
