I shot this one last week at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal east of Denver Colorado. I had to thread a needle to find it in-between a bunch of leaves.

Here is my contribution for this week. A couple of Burrowing Owls at Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, FL Brian, who died of cancer at the age of 26, was the replacement for Chicago Bears superstar running back Gale Sayers in 1968 when he Sayers tore his ACL. He was the subject of a movie titled "Brian's Song" a made for TV movie.

Great one, Doug. Stunning!I remember the Kansas comet from NFL games and YouTube videos. And I Remember Brian Piccolo too he looked a lot like James Caan. Actually, Gayle looked a lot like Billy Dee Williams. Maybe I'm mixing up real life with the great movie, "Brian's Song"

The terns were really out and feasting at Bolsa Chica last Sunday. I especially like that this guy left me just enough room to capture the catch light in his eye as he searched for a meal.

Thank you Eric. Sometimes you get lucky. I thought sure I had some really good skimmer photos but they ended up being a major disappointment. You never really know until you get home.
