As always there are some tough acts to follow with the posts so far. Looks like you had a fun trip Eric - I like the warbler and the swamp sparrow.

My meager offering is a great blue heron at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge:

California may be soggy with runoff, but I recently found a field full of yellow-headed blackbirds surrounded by wild iris.

I like your theme Eric. Your shots are excellent as always.
I have been away on a holiday hiking in Scotland for most of May and have fallen way behind in contributing to FocalWorld. I did manage to get some bird shots in and will keep with the theme of birds photographed while on a holiday. With the help of Merlin Bird ID I was able to get ID for the birds I shot. If I have made mistakes I welcome a correction.

The Common Chaffinch seemed to be the most common songbird I saw.
