I have seen hundreds of goldeneyes on Lake Pleasant many times. Regrettably, they spook when I'm a quarter mile away. Outstanding photo, RogerLots of Great Photos in here this week, Posting the most beautiful couple on the pond. Common GoldeneyeView attachment 58078
Great BIF... bee in flight photo. Or, PIF... pollinator in flight. Outstanding photo, KenI was trying to photograph some of the garden birds yesterday when I noticed that bumble bees have started flying. No fancy modes for tracking bees so lots of bursts at 7fps and hope that some are in focus. What I find most surprising is modern software that can produce a mostly noiseless image cropped from 10% of the full image at ISO 2500. 5 years ago this would have been impossible, not capturing flying insects, but doing so without much skill and without very expensive bright glass. I am not sure what kind of butterfly this is.
