IR gave spectacular resultsA two for one special at Millers Farm. I was there with the grandkids getting pumpkins for Halloween, but they also sell cantelope, and all sorts of other vegetables they raise there. While looking to pick out a cantelope I spotted these guys and quickly shot them.
This is in 590nm Infrared. It's funny that the IR makes the cantelope look like pumpkins instead of their normal green color. As for the bee, I have no clue what it might have done to it's coloring.

love the photo. My style is to get very close and crop close too when often a photo like this is way more interesting.

Thanks Eric. Yes. They don't sit still for very long. Fortunately this one was lower down in the tree and a burst mode caught a shot with eye and crown visible.
Sort of. It's thick fur that gets molted as they grow up. And plenty of baby fat.
