Wow - quite the collection so far. Beautiful stuff.

Mine contribution for today is another one from the beaches with a collection of Western Gulls hanging out at the mouth of Ecloa Creek at Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Love birds in their habitat so obviously, I love your photo. That's a lot of gulls. I know adult western gulls have yellow legs and first-year WGs have reddish legs. A few gulls are quite a bit smaller than western gulls. Regrettably, the pic is too pixilated to ID

As they say on Sesame Street, today's contributions to "Winged Wednesday" are brought to you by the color "blue" and "pretty birds on a stick."

Great set of images, your Western Bluebird is absolutely exquisite.

Thanks Eric - this was a 14 year old handheld shot from a Canon 5D using ISO500 - not a recipe for clean details I'm afraid.

Thanks for the very kind completement, but I have only been doing birds for a minute compared to the rest of you. I still have much to learn, any CC would be greatly appreciated.
I'll certainly give CC. However, I have not seen an occasion to do so.

I think it's limiting the photo to 1800 MP.
This is an image taken a few moments after the first one I posted. It had some other issues so I passed on processing it for today but I isolated the birds and used very minimal processing. It has not been reduced from the original - just the crop. The first image was reduced to 1200 pixels wide. This one will survive pixel peeping at 100% for the gull ID.
