Great birds everyone! A cute Duck butt...

It was pretty cold in Jackson and these ducks talk about brain freeze! brrr

But that's exactly why we like having their feathers in our jackets

Beautiful colors on the spread wings - very nice.

This is a Great Blue Heron lurking on the rocks at the Devil's Punchbowl near Otter Crest along the Oregon coast.

Excellent photo, Alan. They always seem like sentinels to me protecting the pond with loud warning squawks.

An angry red tail. I later found she had a nearby nest so I stayed away after that.

when you photograph a Ferruginous hawk, never apologize for its perch. Stunning details! I know this is our largest hawk, but to me it seems like our smallest eagle, especially when he tears huge chunks of flesh from his prey and gulps it down

I assume a females Peafowl are called Peahens and males are Peacocks. I was fortune to see two peafowl courting and have hundreds of photos. These two portraits capture their beautiful faces and essence of their feather details.
