An angry red tail. I later found she had a nearby nest so I stayed away after that.

That is a beautiful image of a ferruginous Hawk, Craig.Here's another one. I know, it's on top of a pole, but it was a test of a lens that I should have kept, but didn't.

That is a sweet image of a black-throated sparrow, Jim. It is nice and sharp so you can crop it down and still have a quality image.Mine would be just a snack for most of the birds already posted.
This was from last week out in Joshua Tree National Park.

What a sweet little bird, Don. And you captured it's yellow crown which isn't all that easy.
That is a great image of a Great Blue Heron, Alan. I really like the rocks it is standing upon.Beautiful colors on the spread wings - very nice.
This is a Great Blue Heron lurking on the rocks at the Devil's Punchbowl near Otter Crest along the Oregon coast.
