Wildfire Smoke Sucks

We have had some nasty wildfire smoke from the fires east of the Cascades lurking over the river valleys on the western side this week. Wednesday was the worst with enough smoke to make it seem like a cloudy day. We have seen worse air quality from wildfire smoke notably in 2020 but I'd prefer to not replicate episodes like that. I decided to grab a shot of the sunset just to see what it looked from above my house and caught the sun just as it was sinking down to the Tualatin Hills.

Actually what really sucks are people that intentionally light those fires and destroy the lives of thousands of people.

Agreed - in the case of Spokane over 750 homes destroyed so far. The dude who did this calculated the best way to start a fire that would spread quickly and cause the most damage and waited for the right conditions to pull it off. He confessed to law enforcement that he even practiced starting fires.
