We stopped in Gallop, New Mexico as part of the trip down old Hiwy 66 and walked around the WigWam Motel and admired the old cars positioned outside of each wigwam!

Wouldn't this be in Holbrook AZ?

I remember the Holbrook Wigwam Motel from days of old when US66 was still active and I-40 was still under construction. The Interstate didn't bypass this part of old US66 until well after I had gone to Utah to attend college.

It may be Holbrook as we were speeding through AZ on our way back to Colorado as we were running late for a stop near Aztec where she live for 3 years while in Junior High School.

It might be charitable to say that stretch of highway is a bit on the nondescript side if not just downright boring

Very cool Larry. This is in Holbrook. I have stopped there quite a few times to photograph those teepees and old cars. I even have a video tour of Route 66 on my YouTube channel and I have footage of this hotel as it's so cool.
