We stopped in Gallop, New Mexico as part of the trip down old Hiwy 66 and walked around the WigWam Motel and admired the old cars positioned outside of each wigwam! ;)

Wouldn't this be in Holbrook AZ?

I remember the Holbrook Wigwam Motel from days of old when US66 was still active and I-40 was still under construction. The Interstate didn't bypass this part of old US66 until well after I had gone to Utah to attend college.

It may be Holbrook as we were speeding through AZ on our way back to Colorado as we were running late for a stop near Aztec where she live for 3 years while in Junior High School.

It might be charitable to say that stretch of highway is a bit on the nondescript side if not just downright boring :)

Very cool Larry. This is in Holbrook. I have stopped there quite a few times to photograph those teepees and old cars. I even have a video tour of Route 66 on my YouTube channel and I have footage of this hotel as it's so cool.
