White Sands

I had this vision of shooting this location in FS, so I did an overnighter there. I had only been there one time back in the 90's and it was summer. I didnt really know what this place is about for most of the population. Needless to say I had to hike for several hours to find places that where untouched by human footprints.

C&C's are always welcome.

Forgot to add this one.

Thank you guys, and Ben the more I look at these the more #4 is the winner for me as well. It has this vibe of a moonlit scene.

Hey Sonny, #4 is definitely my favorite. It's perfect in look and composition and shadows. The others are all nice though. I think I would pick #2 as #2 favorite.

Sometimes one does have to walk a ways to find clean sand, or get there after it's been windy and all the footprints have been wiped away. I have camped out there and woken up to my tent being half buried in the morning from all of the blown sand during the night.

Thank you Jim, and I would like to do some backcountry camping there as that would provide the best opportunity for clean sand. But on this trip they were not offering the permits, so I just drove through the whole park to find where I thought people had not tread. That proved to be a bit of a challenge. LOL

4 is great! Overall the processing is a bit too heavy-handed for my tastes, but IR gives you a ton of creative leeway. :)
