Wharton State Forest Wildfire

Hey guys, figured I would share these since if anyone in here is from the New Jersey area you might find them interesting. About 13,500 acres burned a few days ago. Our hangar was pretty close to all of this so we flew a few circles on the way back one day and I grabbed some photos. Trying to shoot a pano from a moving helicopter was interesting : )

Yikes - interesting images but I always hate seeing forests goin up in smoke. I like the view in the first image.

Yeah and it sounds most likely it was an illegal campfire that caused it which is a shame to hear.

Wow! Great catches Jordan! The first 2 especially are impressive.

What helicopter were you on? In the Army I worked on and flew in OH-67', Hueys and Cobras.

We use an AS355 Twinstar. We had a Bell Jetranger back in the day, which I’ve actually crashed in before : D I like the Twinstar though, having 2 engines in case you lose one is reassuring at least.
